BSF Head Constable [Radio Operator and Radio Mechanic] Recruitment Notification Out for 1121 Posts.

Border Security Force (BSF) has released the notification for Recruitment to the 1121 post of Head Constable [910 no. of Radio Operator and 211 no. of Radio Mechanic]. Interested candidate can apply online from 24^th August 2025. Closing date of online application and fees payment is on 23^rd September 2025. BSF Head constable Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Conditions:

Academic Qualification:

Head Constable [Radio Operator]: 

Candidate must be passed in intermediate or 12^th standard or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized Board or University or institution as a regular student with aggregate 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Or

Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board and two years Industrial Training Institute Certificate (ITI) in Radio and Television or Electronics Engineering or Computer Operator and Programming Assistant or Data Preparation and Computer Software or General Electronics Engineering or Data Entry Operator from a recognized Institute. 

Head Constable [Radio Mechanic]: Pass in intermediate or 12^th standard or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized Board or University or Institution as a regular student with aggregate 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Or

Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board or Institute and two years Industrial Training Intuition Certificate (ITI in Radio and Television or General Electronics or Computer Operator and Programming Assistant or Data Preparation and Computer Software or Electrician or Fitter of Information Technology and Electronics System Maintenance or Communication Equipment Maintenance or Computer Hardware or Network Technician or Mechatronics or Data Entry Operator from a recognized Institute. 

Age Limit:

i.                     UR                  Not below 18 years or over 25 years (as on online application closing date)

ii.                   OBC               Not below 18 years or over 28 years (as on online application closing date)

iii.                  SC/ST            Not below 18 years or over 30 years (as on online application closing date)

	Note 1.The minimum standard so far as it relates to height may be relaxed by 3 cms (i.e. from 168 cms to 165 cms) in respect of persons belonging to the races, namely Garhwalis, Kumaonese, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas, Sikkimies, persons hailing from Leh & Ladak, Kashmir Valley, North Eastern States and the State of Himachal Pradesh.   Note 2. The minimum standard so far as it relates to height may be relaxed by 5.5 cms (i.e. from 168 cms to 162.5 cms) in respect of Advasis or Tribals including Mizos and Nagas and further relaxed by 5.5 cms (i.e. from 162.5 cms to 157cms) in respect of male Schedule Tribes of North Eastern States.	Note1. For Candidate belonging to Hill areas of Garhwal, Kumaon, Himachal Pradesh, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas, Sikkimies, Leh and Laddakh, Kashmir Valley and North Eastern States: 155 cms.   Note 2. For Tribals/Advasis including Mizos & Nagas: 154 cms.

BSF Head constable Recruitment 2025 Recruitment Process:

First Phase: Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Through Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID). All candidates must have to qualify the first phase examination for appearing in the Second Phase Examination.

 Second Phase: Computer Based Test (CBT), This test will be conducted in English and Hindi Medium only.

There will be provision of negative marking for each wrong answer 0.25 marks will be deducted .

 Note: The result of the candidate declared qualified in Computer Based Test (CBT shall be announced by uploading the same on official BSF Website (https://bsf.gov.in) as well as BSF Recruitment Portal (https://rectt.bsf.gov.in). Further intimation through e-mail/SMS shall also be given to all the qualified candidates for appearing in the Third Phase Examination.

 Third Phase: In this phase candidate have to appear for;

a)      Document verification

b)      Dictation Test and Paragraph Reading Test (for Radio Operator candidates only)

c)      Detailed and Review Medical Examination (DME/RME). 

Preparation of Final Result: Final Result will be prepared for HC(RO) and HC(RM) separately and merit will be prepared in the following manner;

HC (RO)	Total marks obtained in the Computer Based Test (CBT) 200 marks plus Dictation Test 50 marks out of Total 250 marks subject to qualifying in the paragraph reading test.
HC (RM)	Total Marks obtained in the Computer Based Test (CBT) out of 200 marks.

VII.              Submit and download the confirmation page for future reference.
